30 ATV TIRES

It's been over a year, but I haven't forgotten. Once, they sat nestled in a bed of red cedar mulch. They served as gentle accent lights across our front flowerbed, a glowing beacon that welcomed us home at night. Now, they're a haphazard line across your front lawn across the street. At least you could have done something nice with them, instead of zig-zagging them like some sort of landing strip for drunk pilots.

Of course, I can't prove that you stole them. They're the same brand that half of Gananoque bought when Canadian Tire had them on sale for something ridiculous like 85% off. It's just a little bizarre that you acquired these new landscape gems around the same time that mine ran away from home.

The worst part is, there's 5 different types of light represented in your macabre display. Like some bizarre solar-light-serial-kidnapper, you've staked their mismatched visages across the front lawn like trophies.

The new lights we've picked up set us back a whole $20. We planned on using that $20 to feed an orphanage for a week. Because of you, and your callous nature, children will now go hungry. I hope you can't sleep at night, haunted by the ghostly glow that permeates your cheap mini-blinds that you no doubt appropriated from someone's garbage.

Jerk.

Firestone Indy Lights driver J.K. Vernay dives into the pits during Friday practice at the 2010 Honda Indy Toronto weekend. Vernay would win the Lights race on Sunday.

B&W conversion/fade with "soft light" blending, then lightly solarized with Cybia ColourWorks and dusted with a colour halftone treatment from Photoshop. Going for kind of a "faded newspaper" look I guess.

The only (minor) problem with this photo is that Indy Lights cars are powered by Infiniti (Nissan), not Honda, engines.
